It’s Gonna be a Tough Night Tonight

I made a costly mistake,
Not too long ago.
The road I decided to take,
Was not for me to go.

The compass incorrectly set,
To the wrong road.
Trouble and misery I met,
Only pain came aboard.

It's back, and it's back tonight,
Again burning my soul.
Entire night I have to fight,
Surviving it is my only goal.

Eyes are heavy again,
As my body shivers.
The nerves aching with pain,
Memories bringing forth rivers.

Tonight I feel beautiful and sad.
Sad for everything lost,
Beautiful for the life I had,
Which one mistake it cost.

It's gonna be a long night,
And a tough one too.
Hope I'll be able to see the light,
And tomorrow's sunrise too.
